The story of Maastricht

This tour focuses on the historical story of Maastricht. During a walk through the city I will show you how Maastricht once began as a Roman village along the Meuse, became a religious center in the Middle Ages, from the 16th century onwards turned into a fortified city, and during the last half century became a modern city is in the center of Europe.

We will visit all the famous (and lesser-known) monuments and historical sites in the city, including the Saint Servaas Basilica, the town hall, the Kruisherenhotel, the Dominican Bookstore and the Roman cellar in the Derlon hotel.
